- WELCOME MESSAGE
-
On behalf of management, I welcome all parents of the Peace Royal family back to school. May I also extend a very warm welcome to our new parents/guardians. We have a great term ahead of us and I am particularly excited to welcome all our children back to school and into a new academic year.
As we all know, every new term comes along with new opportunities and challenges. It is self-serving that we change our way of doing things as we expect new results in various courses we will dare to navigate. It is up to us to take advantage of the new opportunities and convert our challenges into other opportunities. Underpinning all that we do as a school is the belief that all children can be successful and they should be encouraged to make the most of their talents. There is supposed to be a partnership between parents and teachers in educating their children.
Our dedicated staff will ensure that each student has a safe and motivating learning experience in this new academic year and look forward in partnering with parents to help our children unearth their latent talents and achieve their full potentials. We look forward to meeting you all at one point or the other during the school term. Your usual support and cooperation is very much appreciated. Our doors are open for any concerns and progress reports of your children.
I would like to reiterate that on behalf of Management and the entire teaching staff, we are looking forward to a great new term and working with all students and parents.
- OUR STORY
-
Peace Royal International School began with ten kids as a Day Care Centre in October 1998 and has grown to become a model center of excellence among basic schools in the Tarkwa metropolis.
Mrs. Margaret Kumah through thoughtful thinking realized that a lot of young children followed their mothers to the market. She therefore went to the market and took such children from their mothers to the day care so they can have time to sell their wares. With the help of her husband, Pastor Alex Young Kumah, a land was secured to help drive this vision. Starting with only ten children from crèche, the population increased just within two years. Since the children who started were around the same age, classes were created as the children progressed. This enabled staff to train the children excellently academically and also instill the fear of God in them. The excellent tuition and innovative learning at the nursery encouraged parents to keep their children there although as at then, the structures were built with plywood. With the buy-in of parents, there was an expansion and extension of the crèche to nursery, to kindergarten and subsequently to primary and junior high schools respectively as the children were due.
The first batch of students were registered for the Basic Education Certificate Examination in 2009 with all the students passing with distinction. The current pupil population of the school stands at nine hundred and seventy (970) boys and girls, with teaching and non-teaching staff strength of sixty (60) hardworking and loyal personnel. Peace has produced over five hundred and fifty (550) JHS graduates since the year 2009, most of whom get admissions into first class SHS with some currently pursuing various prestigious programs of interest in different universities.
Our mission is to provide and maintain excellent teaching and holistic training for all our pupils, inculcating in them character and competence towards responsible leadership in Ghana and the world at large. Peace Royal strives for academic and moral excellence. It is our aim to train and produce high caliber of pupils who can read between the lines and think analytically. Our pupils can be tried and tested under any circumstance or environment and come out unscathed. This is achieved through the hard work of our dedicated staff.
At Peace Royal International School, high premium is placed on holistic training. We sharpen the innate tendencies and practical skills in children under our tutelage to sharpen their moral and spiritual qualities. On Wednesday mornings, an hour is set aside for morning devotion and Bible teachings, which help us achieve this purpose.
We believe every child is unique and valuable. We do what is humanly possible to reform children of all types of character or learning qualities. Our pupils are trained to become responsible and useful citizens in the Ghanaian society to benefit our major stakeholders – our cherished parents and guardians.

We have spacious classrooms, a building for computer laboratory and library, and a large playing field. Moreover, our holistic approach does not leave out the nutritious and delicious hot meals served by our lovely canteen in our large dining hall. Parents do not have to worry about transportation because we provide shuttle services for students staying far from the school premise.
This is definitely your last stop at finding an all-encompassing school that will leave your child in the best possible state, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually; ready to progress to their next level of academic pursuit, both locally and internationally. Our staff understands the crucial role that failure and mistakes play in the ongoing process of improvement. As educators, we strive to model the truth. No one can learn at their highest levels if they do not feel safe, secure and respected. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our students are learning at high levels because they are respected, challenged, supported and cared for. This is our commitment to our students and families.
We have the moral obligation to our young people to help them prepare for a world that is increasingly more competitive, global and complex. We look forward to partnering with our families as we engage in that process. This will build on our school-wide work on effectively supporting all students in a world of increasing demands and expanding social/emotional challenges. This effort cannot be done in isolation. We are committed to joining with parents and guardians to collectively employ best practices to improve the overall well-being of our students.
